The BS-8FT strain transducer is designed to measure strain in the inside or on the surface of a thin concrete wall or on the surface of steel such as a wide-flange beam. A temperature measuring function enables it to simultaneously measure strain and temperature. Since the compact design measures only 80 mm in length, embedment applications are limited to concrete with comparatively small aggregates.

- BSM-44D-TXMultiaxial Bedrock Strain TransducersMost suitable for analysis of stress conditions of bedrock natural ground Designed for installation in a boring to detect strain in multiaxial directions inside bedrock, the BSM-44D-TX is useful to analyze stress conditions of the bedrock natural ground. Thus, it can be used for over-coring tests to measure bedrock stress changes or to seek initial stress conditions of the bedrock natural ground. By using a single unit of this transducer, three to six strain components can be measured, including one or two strain components in the axial direction of a boring and two to four strain components in a right-angled direction to the boring axis. - BSM-K-SA1Multi-gage SensorSuitable for measurement of 3-dimensional bedrock stress This sensor is designed to measure three-dimensional bedrock stress with the borehole bottom strain release method. Strain gages are molded with resin. The sensor is bonded on the bottom wall of the borehole using a fixture and then subjected to over-coring to measure released strain.
- SVGIn-banking Strain TransducersApplicable to in-banking soil pressure/stress analysis Designed for installation in artificial banking of fill dams, transducers in SVG series detect strain on fill materials at the installation site. Use in combination with a soil pressure transducer enables in-banking stress/strain analysis. According to the stress analysis method and measurement purpose, each unit may be installed in one axis, orthogonal two axes or rosette three axes. The electrical system facilitates remote measurement and data processing by PC.
- VPPipe Strain TransducerMeasure the depth and amount of landslide. This transducer is designed to estimate the depth and amount of landslide. It has a strain gage bonded on a PVC pipe to form a flexible detector. Multiple units that are connected via joint pipe are placed vertically into a boring at the landslide site and fixed by filling the gap with sand. Landslide scale and depth are estimated based on bending strain measured at each depth by the detector, which is sequentially selected using a switch box. (Tokyo Electric make)
