Pipe Strain Transducer

Measure the depth and amount of landslide. This transducer is designed to estimate the depth and amount of landslide. It has a strain gage bonded on a PVC pipe to form a flexible detector. Multiple units that are connected via joint pipe are placed vertically into a boring at the landslide site and fixed by filling the gap with sand. Landslide scale and depth are estimated based on bending strain measured at each depth by the detector, which is sequentially selected using a switch box. (Tokyo Electric make)
