Compact 6-component Force Transducer

These center hole type 6-component force transducers are used to measure the forces (Fx, Fy, Fz) acting in three orthogonal axial directions and moments (Mx, My, Mz) around each axis. After measuring using an 8-channel strain measuring instrument, it obtains the physical quantities of six components by multiplying and adding using the included interference correction coefficient. By using dynamic data acquisition software DCS-100A and DCS-101A and setting the arithmetic expression*¹, the physical quantities of six components can be obtained in real time. Haptic Control of Robot Arms

LFM-A can be used to measure six component forces (force on three directions and moment around each axis) simultaneously, for use as a haptic sensor. The hollow structure makes it simple to wire to a robot arm. It is also lightweight (compared with other Kyowa products), reducing its impact on whatever is being measured.
