These sensors can measure concrete stress as direct stress. They can measure accurately with little impact by concrete creep or changes to the elastic coefficient. They are attached to concrete placed at earlier stages of dam construction or to the rear walls during tunnel covering to measure concrete stress and natural ground stress.
